Rutherford County is in the heart of the manufacturing corridor.  With 18% of its employment still in the manufacturing sector, the labor availability is abundant.  Many of the exisiting industries have transformed into Advance Manufacturing and new markets.  With manufacturing being the largest area of focus in Rutherford County, special emphasis is placed on these three targeted areas:

• Call and Contact Centers
• Renewable Energies Manufacturing

As a North Carolina Tier 1 county, we also have great local and state incentives for new companies looking to relocate or expand in Rutherford County.

Rutherford County also has an abundance of Sites, Buildings and Featured Property.  And for utilities, there is also a new fiber broadband ring running throughout the county.
