2010 Census Now Taking Applications in Rutherford County
FOREST CITY, NC – As the United States prepares for the 2010 Census, jobs are being created. Apply now to be a Census Taker. Work up to forty hours per week in a temporary, part-time job with the 2010 Census and enjoy good weekly pay, flexible hours, mileage reimbursement, paid training and the chance to serve your community. Applications will be taken for job assessment at the Mooneyham Library in Forest City on Friday, November 20th at 10:00 a.m. and on Friday, November 27th at 10:00 a.m.
In February and March 2010, the Census Bureau will mail or deliver more than 130 million questionnaires to households across the United States. Residents are urged to promptly complete and return the forms by mail. The 2010 Census will have one of the shortest questionnaires in history, dating back to the nation's first census in 1790. The official national “Census Day” will be April 1, 2010.
