Economic Development Product Tour

Forest City, NC – Rutherford County Elected Officials and members of the Economic Development Commission visited several of Rutherford County’s largest existing industrial facilities on September 18. The tour conducted by Economic Development Director Matt Blackwell was a follow-up of the recently completed Economic Development Strategic Plan for Rutherford County.  The purpose was to view the facilities which included the All-American Homes facility, former Dan River facility, and former Cliffside Cone Mills facility and examine the strengths and challenges each building presents for the overall economic development efforts for Rutherford County.

Mr. Blackwell said viewing the product is an important part of this strategy so the tour was organized.

The mission of Rutherford County Economic Development is to retain and recruit new jobs and stimulate investment in the county.
